Supply Chain Leader

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serves as the Team Lead for the Procurement Specialist team.  Assists and provides direction to other Procurement Specialists as necessary on a daily basis.
  2. Ensures supply base partners throughout the extended supply chain meet EPTAM’s business requirements with respect to delivery, quality and cost.
  3. Develops sources for procurement of parts, supplies and equipment by qualifying suppliers and establishing a network of resources.
  4. Establish and track KPIs with preferred suppliers.
  5. Negotiates with suppliers in acquiring the most cost effective price for materials, supplies and services.
  6. Completes purchase requests by entering orders through the Global Shop ERP System and maintaining the accuracy of the database files.
  7. Develop and maintain inventory stocking programs with suppliers.
  8. Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction. Can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral issues; perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.

 

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  1. EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree in a relevant discipline
  2. EXPERIENCE:  5+ years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  3. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  ISM and Green Belt Certified preferred, but not required.  Strong organizational and math skills.  Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. 
  4. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customer base. Must possess strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Do set-up of equipment in a timely and efficient manner to prepare for production run.
  2. Use some judgment to follow instructions with choice set-up procedures.
  3. Make suggestions with regard to tooling, fixtures, etc. to increase efficiency and provide ideas to improve operations.
  4. Load/feed machine as required to produce finished product.
  5. Perform in-process inspection for dimensions of parts produced and maintain documentation as required.
  6. Keep count of parts and maintain records and time sheets.
  7. Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheet, work orders and any other special instructions. 
  8. Work on various types of equipment as assigned.
  9. Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
  10. Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction.  Can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral issues; perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.

 

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

 

  1. EDUCATION: High School diploma, equivalent, trade school graduate and/or minimum experience.
  2. EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  3. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: None
  4. OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers.  Knowledge of equipment.  Ability to read prints and use precision measuring equipment.  Use of basic mathematics.
