  1. Do set-up of equipment in a timely and efficient manner to prepare for production run.
  2. Use some judgment to follow instructions with choice set-up procedures.
  3. Make suggestions with regard to tooling, fixtures, etc. to increase efficiency and provide ideas to improve operations.
  4. Load/feed machine as required to produce finished product.
  5. Perform in-process inspection for dimensions of parts produced and maintain documentation as required.
  6. Keep count of parts and maintain records and time sheets.
  7. Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheet, work orders and any other special instructions. 
  8. Work on various types of equipment as assigned.


  1. EDUCATION: High School diploma, equivalent, trade school graduate and/or minimum experience.
  2. EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  4. OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers.  Knowledge of equipment.  Ability to read prints and use precision measuring equipment.  Use of basic mathematics.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING OPENNING in our Phillipsburg, NJ Location Molding Machine Operator-Fulltime for either 2d or 3rd Shift POSITION SUMMARY: Manually inspects completed plastics parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels and stacks full boxes on pallets. May operate machines. May train Inspector/Packer I’s. Operates in a safe manner and keeps work area clean and organized. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Sets up station with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions. • Package and label product in accordance of the standard operating procedure. • Documents production, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected. • Communicates any process problems to the Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/ Group Lead • Fill out Quality hourly paperwork • In process inspection: Inspection consists of frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc. • Packing: Preparation includes transferring the product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting the product to the shipping area, properly weighing, properly completing and affixing correct label to container using SAP, preparing and supplying new or used boxes to the molding presses and stacking finished product correctly on pallet • Sorts and Reworks: Sorting and/or reworking product that does not conform to the customer requirements. Properly documents and labels to identify the status of non-conforming product. Sampling and gaging of reject product may also be required. • Reads and interprets the manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g. microscope and magnifying lenses). • Responsible for keeping areas neat and clean, follow restriction/rules of fire protection, safety and environmental issues • Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product. • Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instruction. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for identifying quality problems in materials. • Properly utilize evacuation system to minimize exposure to hazards. • Provide accurate and complete turnover from shift to shift. • Good housekeeping and safe working habits. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • EDUCATION: High School diploma, equivalent or trade school graduate and/or minimum experience. • EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment / perrfered. • OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment. Basic ability to read prints and use simple measuring equipment. Basic math skills. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND VISUAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: • Requires continuous lifting of 1 lb. – 10 lbs. • Requires frequent lifting of 11 lbs. – 35 lbs. • Requires occasional lifting of 36+ lbs. • Requires continuous standing. • Requires occasional bending and reaching. • Continuous mental and visual attention associated with operation of machinery. • Standing and moving between multiple pieces of equipment required for shift duration.
