Plastic Injection
EPTAM is your single source for custom injection molding. We are fitted with world class electric injection molding equipment that delivers high-speed and high-precision results. We have capacity of up to 200 tons, with shot weight ranging from a fraction of an ounce up to 13 ounces. We can facilitate insert and overmolding using the most exotic thermoplastic materials and work within the tightest of tolerances.

CNC 5-Axis, 7-Axis, and Multi-Axis Plastics Machining
EPTAM operates state-of-the-art CNC equipment capable of both milling and turning on the same machine. The Multus B300 7-Axis Mill / Turn Center is designed for milling and turning complex plastics components with minimal fix turning and setup by handing parts from one spindle to the other; this allows the completion of milling and turning operations without changing the part. The MU-400 vertical machining center complements our existing 5-Axis units and further expands our ability to deliver complex machined geometries, blending, undercuts, and difficult angles - all in a single setup.

CNC 3-Axis, 4-Axis Milling
Pictured here is 16 of our new high volume, 3 & 4 axis milling Centers. By purchasing equipment in cells, we ensure our customers' products can run on any number of machines without costly tooling changes. Machines include pallet changes enabling increased spindle utilization.

Screw Machining
Pictured here is some of our Tsugami SS. The Tsugami Opposed Gang Tool Swiss Type CNC Lathe is a rugged performer capable of taking on deep cuts while maintaining simultaneous machining on the main and sub spindle. The SS Lathe's ability to use the main and sub spindle independently and simultaneously dramatically cuts cycle time as well. Overall, tool modularity, rugged construction, and simultaneous machining capability transform this exceptional Swiss turn into a multi-faceted machine tool for long and short run small parts.

Swiss Machining
Swiss machining is designed to create the most intricate parts needed for technologically advanced industries. EPTAM works with small companies and start-up OEMs all the way through industry leaders in the medical industries to bring them the best in quality parts. We machine prototypes through high volume production using our advanced Swiss machining centers. We are able to machine components in a wide variety of sizes, dimensions, and shapes, determined by your design and the equipment used for each project.
Depending on the machine used, the following can apply to the machining process:
- 5, 6, 8, 11, or 12 simultaneous axis
- Simultaneous turning and drilling
- Machining with up to 4 tools working simultaneously
- Enhanced synchronized superimposed operation
- Up to 22 tools for main and sub-spindle work
- Rotating and synchronized guide bushings
- Up to 16,000 RPM main spindle

Nano Swiss Machining
EPTAM Micro-Machining leads the way in micro parts for medical devices by utilizing the SwissNano line from Tornos. Medical Device OEM's are looking for us to deliver the smallest parts with the highest precision; SwissNano is our go-to to make this happen.
With its kinematic structure the SwissNano machine platform is designed for exceptional balance and thermal management that allows the operating temperatures to be achieved very rapidly. Combine that with multiple operations including turning, drilling, cutting/deburring. and roughing/finishing operations and SwissNano is the platform of choice. Combining these efficiencies allows the highest precision parts to be produced more quickly, and at a lower cost to you.

Medical Machining
The EPTAM Precision Micro-Machining facility is state-of-the-art and uses technologically advanced machines for precision medical machining. We understand that nearly every medical component that comes from our shop will be used to improve someone's quality of life. That's why we make it our responsibility to ensure quality control is at its peak during the entire medical device machining process.
Our primary markets for implants and surgical instrumentation within the medical industry include:
- Orthopedic Spine
- Orthopedic Medical Devices
- Pelvic
- Trauma
- Cardiovascular & Endovascular Devices
- Endovascular
We use Swiss up to 12 simultaneous axis and CNC high speed milling machines with up to 5 simultaneous axis. We also have CNC turning with live tooling and wire EDM 4th axis. Our CAD/CAM software creates exact 3D model replicates of our customer's medical devices to ensure accuracy in manufacturing.

CNC Plastic Turning
EPTAM operates state-of-the-art CNC turning equipment. Our LT2000 EX is our highly flexible twin-spindle turning center in the 6-inch chuck class. With the ability to combine the upper and lower turrets with either spindle, this machine enables process flexibility, very high feature utilization, and the ability to complete the greatest amount of primary and secondary machining possible in one compact platform. The LT series allows for full part creation on a single machine.

CNC Plastic Routing
EPTAM KOMO CNC high-speed routers are able to produce precision plastic components from large sheet stock.
